#12 HTSM: Israel opportunity: Quantum Technology Conference in Jerusalem on December 11
- Location Jerusalem
- Industry High-tech systems and materials
- Online since 2018-12-11
The 1st Israeli conference on quantum technology is taking place on December 11 in Jerusalem. This conference is being organized by the tech transfer company of Hebrew University (Yissum), the Quantum Science Information Center @ HUJI, and the Jerusalem Development Authority. The purpose of the conference is to signal to different stakeholders that the immense investments in quantum science has already led to technology in some domains mature enough to address bona fide market opportunities. These opportunities are expected to grow enormously.
The recent funding of QuantLR (secure quantum communication) and Quantum Machines (control and operation systems for quantum computers) are examples of the nascent ecosystem forming around quantum tech.
There will be talks from the leading player in quantum hardware Prof John Martinis (Google and UCSB), tech investors Rona Segev (TLV Partners) and Eden Shochat (Aleph), as well as senior staff at IBM, the Ministry of Defense, the Israel Innovation Authority and others.
We expect that this conference will kick off a concerted effort to grow the Israeli quantum tech ecosystem to reach a dominant position on the global stage. To reach the desired impact, there is a critical role for entrepreneurs, scientists, investors; industry, academia and government.
Please join us for The Future of Quantum Technology on December 11 at the Edmond Safra (Givat Ram) campus of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. There is no cost but registration is mandatory.
